J.C. Cervantes is the New York Times bestselling author of the Storm Runner series of books for children and young adults. She has earned multiple awards and recognitions, including the New Mexico Book Award, and the Zia Book Award.
Cervantes walks us through her journey to becoming a New York Times bestselling author. It was not easy or linear. After having three children, and at the request of one of her daughters, she started writing fiction for her kids despite her background in nonfiction rhetorical writing.
